Our History

This world began from humble roots. Born from the mind of a middle-schooler who had a very ambitious imagination and a seemingly endless supply of composition books. It's been 15+ years since those days. We've now become a small close-knit community spanning across Discord and VRChat. Our most trusted have kept this project alive with varying forms of contribution. Never in a million years had I (AnthonyWyatt) expected this to go from a stack of journals to the found family I now cherish.

Forge of Creation

The beginning of our story...
A pocket within space created by our protagonist, Orion. Acting as both home and prison, much of Orion's life is spent here before the shattering. Golden halls, shimmering flows of glowing energy etched into the architecture, all leading to an epicenter grand room which he calls the "Observatory". This is the acting foundation to what eventually becomes the land of DragonFell.

Stronghold of Convexity

Orion's birthplace... and home of our main antagonist, Thallador. This pocket space is like the forge, but in Thallador's image. Gravitational fluxes riddle dimly lit halls. Navigation to its center chamber seems an impossible task if its keeper doesn't wish to be disturbed.

The Taurellion Cluster

This is the galaxy as a whole. Orion's most primal shape, the corrisponding celestial body he's connected to. The overall state the cluster is in will always reflect onto Orion and any of his fragmented forms.

Mirrorian Cluster

This is the mirrored galaxy to the Taurellion Cluster, however, it has died and is in a state of decay. Draxis ultimately discovers this gruesome aftermath and finds the waning energy sparks back to life in his presence. There may yet be hope for the lost entity at the cluster's center.

General Concepts

Below you'll find a plethora of information pertaining to the story and its associated characters. Much of this is a dump from our Dicord to centralize the content to one area.

Celestial

A living vessel with the ability to manipulate, maintain, and draw power from any number of cosmic bodies. They do not need to be born into this role. Beings can become one, however, rare and requires the assistance of an already established celestial. Assigned vessels that control only one cosmic body are born along with the cosmic body itself and will die in the same manner.

Rune

A rune in the context of this story is not designed for the purpose of written language. Each rune represents a specific property of any given celestial's power. In the case of the Taurellion runes, they are bound to living beings to prevent Orion's power from drifting away following his shattering.

Rune Holder

This is a lifeform who has been bonded with a rune. In the case of the Taurellion cluster, their responsibility is to act as an anchor for each piece of Orion's power to prevent it from drifting away following his shattering. This cannot be just any being either. To maintain a rune, the being in question must be physically and mentally strong enough to handle the stress of an astral bond with Orion, or risk burning up.

Lacuna

LACUNA aka the gap between, void of voids, space between, spaces, the world echo, quasiverse refers to the area between worlds/universes/dimensions, supposedly empty. at one point this was understood to be on the infinitely large scale, but the lacuna can also refer to the void between molecules, atoms, and even quanta. Notably, the lacuna exists outside of the bounds of physical reality, meaning it is timeless.LACUNAMANCY or LACUNAR MAGIC is the magical discipline/manipulation of this mysterious realm. Skilled lacunamancers can access the lacuna at will, and those who have mastered it are said to have been able to build entire worlds within the lacuna itself. Because of its boundless, timeless nature, effectively one can write their own laws of physics. However, this has never been demonstrated.
